Reasons For Rust On Stainless Steel Self Tapping Screws

Jan 26, 2024 Leave a message

1. Electroplating process issue: When electroplating self tapping screws, the electroplating factory did not dry the water, resulting in residual water vapor. Alternatively, condensation may form during packaging after drying, leading to chemical reactions and rusting. In addition, poor electroplating can result in a thin plating layer, weakened corrosion resistance, and rusting.
2. Storage or usage environment issues: If stored or used in environments with salinity, acidity, alkalinity, high temperature, and humidity for a long time, stainless steel self tapping screws will slowly corrode, leading to rusting.
