Stainless steel screw refers to a screw shape formed by using stainless steel screw wire, which is then twisted into a thread. Its material is stainless steel. Stainless steel screws are classified by material into stainless steel SUS201 screws, stainless steel SUS304 screws, stainless steel SUS316 screws, etc.
In daily life, stainless steel screws are common fasteners. Rust is a common phenomenon during use, and it is also a troublesome thing for us. This not only affects the appearance, but also affects the performance of stainless steel screws.
Therefore, we must pay attention to the key points of use when using stainless steel screws:
1. The surface of stainless steel screws is coated with organic juices (such as melons and vegetables, noodle soup, phlegm, etc.), which form organic acids in the presence of water and oxygen. Over time, organic acids corrode the metal surface.
2. The attachment of dust or dissimilar metal particles, in humid air, connects with the condensate of stainless steel screws to form a micro battery, triggering an electrochemical reaction and damaging the protective film, which is called electrochemical corrosion.
3. In polluted air (such as atmospheres containing large amounts of sulfides, carbon oxides, and nitrogen oxides), when encountering condensate, sulfuric acid and acetic acid droplets form, causing chemical corrosion.
4. The surface of stainless steel adheres to substances containing acids, alkalis, and salts (such as alkaline water and lime water splashing during wall decoration), causing local corrosion.
