Bolt connection is a type of fastener that is widely used in industrial production and life. We use bolt connection in our daily life, such as airplanes, cars, ships, machines used in factories, electronic products used in life, etc. Bolt connection is used. Because bolts are easy to disassemble, this feature will cause bolts to loosen automatically in some cases, thus losing their preload capacity. So how to prevent bolts from loosening?
1. Add flat washers - increase the contact area, reduce pressure, and prevent loosening, but this method is frequently disassembled, and is limited to preventing relatively weak screws from loosening, and cannot play a strong role in preventing screws from loosening.
2. Self-locking nuts - rely on friction to lock themselves, so that the relative rotation of nuts and bolts can be prevented, which plays a role in preventing screws from loosening. But it is a high-end product with high cost.
3. Split pins - play the role of fixing screws, but in the process of mechanical movement, in this method, the pins may be damaged, the screw nuts are easy to wear, the ring threads are broken, and it is easy to cause the screws and threads to slip, and the anti-loosening performance of the screws is unstable.
4. Double nuts - Use tightening force to make double nuts anti-loosening effect, increase weight, only limited to relatively weak loosening, can not play a strong role in preventing loosening, improper use, can not play an anti-loosening role, the anti-loosening performance of screws is unstable.
5. Locking wire - is one of the more traditional anti-loosening methods, which is widely used in aircraft-related fields. However, the pin in this method may be damaged, and the scope of use is limited.
6. U-shaped nut - changes the shape of the nut, directly destroys the nut body, indirectly destroys the bolt thread, causes the bolt to fall off, and the anti-loosening performance of the screw is unstable.
7. Anti-loosening nut - Our company mainly has two types of nylon locking nuts and all-metal locking nut. Nylon locking nuts mainly clamp the bolts through the tension of the nylon ring. The essence of the metal locking nut is mainly that the embedded steel sheet is perpendicular to the axis of the nut and parallel to the end face of the nut. The embedded steel sheet changes the tooth angle and pitch of the last thread, and uses the elasticity of the steel sheet itself to prevent loosening.
It is very important to prevent the nuts from loosening. If there is no absolute guarantee that the nuts will not loosen, regular maintenance and inspection is the best way to eliminate safety hazards in time.
