Screws and nuts exposed to the air, a long time will rust, so for safety and aesthetic considerations, we need to remove these rusty fasteners and replace them with new ones. So this is a problem we need to help users solve as a supplier of fasteners.
1.We can first tighten the screw with a wrench, and then use a hammer to hit the handle of the wrench. After a few hits, the rusty part inside will become loose due to the knocking, so it will be much easier to screw it.
2.You can also use the burning method. Use the gas welding oxidizing flame to fully burn the screws and nuts for a while, and then drip a few drops of oil on the red-hot screws to let the screws cool quickly. This can increase the gap between the screws and nuts and make it easier to unscrew the screws.
3. If the screw is stripped, we can put a small rubber block on it to increase friction.
4. We can also try to use vinegar to remove rusty screws. Sprinkling vinegar on the rusty screws can dissolve some rust, and it will feel easy to twist the rusty screws after waiting for a while.
If the above methods do not work, you need to use professional tools:
Use a nut splitter. The nut splitter is a special tool for cutting and removing rusted nuts that cannot be removed. It consists of a hydraulic cylinder, a cutter and a knife holder. It uses a single-acting return hydraulic cylinder to cut the nut into two halves at one time without damaging the thread thread and the screw, and efficiently solves the problem of disassembly and replacement of bolts and nuts.
Specific usage:
Open the oil filling screw plug, fill the manual oil pump box with hydraulic oil, and close the unloading valve;
Insert the head hole of the breaker into the nut to be broken, and place it flat;
Press the hand pump to push the riving knife forward to the nut. When the riving knife pushes in half of the nut, you must carefully press the hand pump to avoid using too much force and the riving knife will quickly split the nut and damage the bolt thread;
When you hear the cracking sound, it means that the nut has been broken, and you should stop pressing;
Unscrew the unloading valve, return the splitter to its original position, and remove the splitter to complete the work.
Use drop screws. Screw thread is a liquid chemical agent that acts on the contact surface between the screw and the tool to increase the contact friction. After use, the friction force can be increased 500 times, which is more than enough to deal with ordinary dead screws. If used with rust remover, lubricant, etc., the effect will be more significant.
7. Remove rusty nuts by induction heating. This method is simple to operate and is suitable for the disassembly or installation of various metal parts, such as drive parts, bearings, bearing seats, gears, bolts, nuts, pipe fittings and small parts. It has a wide range of uses and is suitable for narrow spaces.
It can also accurately heat the area outside the heated workpiece, so that the area outside the heated workpiece still maintains the original temperature; while the heated workpiece expands and loosens, making it easier to disassemble or install. It is an ideal solution especially for bolts and nuts.
