1. The head should be round (this is also the common standard for all round-head screws). 3. No eccentricity. A simple way to determine whether a drywall screw is eccentric is to place it on a table with the round head facing down and see if the threaded part is vertical and in the middle of the head. If the screw is eccentric, the problem is that it will shake when the power tool is screwed in. It is okay for short screws, but if a long screw encounters this situation, it will be a big problem.
